DIY With Lyons Digital Media
"I have a small budget." We hear it all the time. It means different things to different clients. For some clients it means that they are limited to $20,000. Other potential customers are trying to launch a website for under $300. Whatever source of funding a client has, it never seems adequate to reach that ideal goal.
Jonathan Lyons met Carol Watson of Perfect Partyz through a mutual connection in the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. Carol had a feeling that her website could do much more for her than it was doing at the time. Barbara Forbes-Lyons and Jonathan agreed. Carol's website was doing more harm than good. Carol had a problem, and you may have already guessed what it was. Carol had a small budget and some big ambitions.
Jonathan and Barbara talked to Carol, analyzed her website and submitted their proposal. It was clear that everyone was on the same page, but the budget was simply out reach. That might have been the end for some people, but Lyons Digital Media offers website hosting separately from design and development. Perfect Partyz needed a solution that fit everyone and there was no doubt that Carol had the motivation to make it work.
What We Really Do at Lyons Digital Media:
A quick bit of history. Jonathan Lyons started Lyons Digital Media in 1991 as a graphic design studio. Jonathan won an Addy award for brochure design and a communicator award for a book design. His career has followed a trajectory intersection of communication and technology, from early desktop publishing to CD ROM development and now website hosting and development.
At Lyons Digital Media, we focus on small businesses and associations. Our target projects are under $10,000, with most projects budgeted between $2,000 and $6,000. But if you have more time than money, Lyons Digital Media can get you started for as little as $100 a year with a hosting plan.
A hosting plan is like leasing a space for your business or association. We provide a number of tools to help you build a successful website. The most basic need of most businesses is getting known, also called “creating a presence.” It's that security of knowing that when someone wants your services, they can find you.
Back in the Saddle
Jonathan Lyons is back to full strength following his recovery from abdominal surgery. Jonathan is more excited than ever about the business."I have already started to implement new ideas, develop new ways to improve customer service and continue my never-ending pursuit of new opportunities to make those around us even more successful" he said. "Great things are coming."
In addition to working on the business, Jonathan is working on his health. At the end of April, Jonathan will be riding his age. That's a mile for every year. In the last couple months he has been stretching his distance stamina and increasing his speed. Drop us an email if you're up to joining Jonathan for a forty seven mile ride.
